We work alongside accountants (CPA)
We work alongside accountants to provide additional expertise and support for their clients. There are a number of situations that may arise where an accountant may need a legal opinion or to refer parts of complex cases to a Tax Attorney. We have provided a few examples below. However, if you are dealing with another type of legal issue please give us a call to determine if we can help (or help find another attorney right for the specific issue).
If you have a client dealing with an eggshell audit (possible criminal investigation) it is best to get an attorney involved quickly. Accountants have certain confidentiality protections but those do not extend to criminal matters. Give us a call to find out if your a case should be handled alongside an attorney.
If you have knowledge of a client’s criminal misconduct then you should seek guidance from an attorney to determine how to protect yourself and your client. Give us a call to see how we can help.

Often times, clients make various mistakes when dealing with shareholder loans to and/or from a corporation. However, they make the mistakes during the year and afterwards disclose them to their accountant. If you need an opinion or recommendation on how to properly categorize a shareholder loan or other mistake made by your client then give us a call.
Dealing with a difficult collection case can take up an accountant’s limited time. If your client has a case that is taking too much of your time we can work along side you to get the best resolution for your client.
